Location and Directions

Schafer's Country Cottages are located in Centre County, Pennsylvania in the historic village of Aaronsburg. We are only a 5 minutes drive from Woodward Sports Camp on the same road that the camp is on. The listings below will give you directions from almost any major city. Please Note: if you get driving directions from www.mapquest.com, typically they are good directions until the end of the trip. Mapquest directions usually end by trying to take you off of Route 45 and you will end up on an Amish farm! Please ignore any directions that take you off Route 45.

FROM THE NORTH From Montreal, Syracuse, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre areas Take I-81 South to I-80 Take I-80 West to exit 224 (Danville) Take right off exit ramp and travel approx 1 mile Take right onto RT 642 west and travel 4.5 miles Take Rt 45 West and travel approx 40 miles to Schafer's Country Cottages on right side of road.	From Albany, NY Take I-88 West to Binghamton Take I-81 South to I-80 Take I-80 West to exit 224 (Danville) Take right off exit ramp and travel approx 1 mile Take right onto RT 642 west and travel 4.5 miles Take Rt 45 West and travel approx 40 miles to Schafer's Country Cottages on right side of road.
FROM THE NORTHWEST From Toronto, Canada and Buffalo, NY Take Route 219 South to I-80 Take I-80 East to Bellefonte, PA exit #161 (Route 26) Take Route 26 South to Pleasant Gap Turn left onto Route 144 South Take Route 144 South over the mountain and through the town of Centre Hall to the intersection of Route 45 Turn left onto Route 45 East Schafer's Country Cottages are 12.5 miles East on Route 45, on the left side of the road just as you enter Aaronsburg.	From Rochester, NY Take Route 390 South to Route 17 Take Route 17 East to Corning, NY Take Route 15 South to Lewisburg, PA Turn right onto Route 45 West Schafer's Country Cottages are 30.5 miles West of Lewisburg on Route 45. Go through the town of Aaronsburg and the cottages are on the right.
FROM THE NORTHEAST (New England States) Take I-84 West to Scranton, PA Take I-81 South to I-80 Take I-80 West to exit 224 (Danville) Take right off exit ramp and travel approx 1 mile Take right onto RT 642 west and travel 4.5 miles Take Rt 45 West and travel approx 40 miles to Schafer's Country Cottages on right side of road.
FROM THE SOUTHEAST From Philadelphia, PA and South NJ Take PA Turnpike (Route 76) West to Harrisburg exit #247 Take I-283 North to Route 322 West towards State College Follow Route 322 West past Lewistown, up over Seven Mountains. Bear Right onto Route 144 North and follow to Stoplight intersection of Route 45/Route144 Turn right onto Route 45 West Schafer's Country Cottages are approximately 12.5 miles West on Route 45 on the left just as you enter Aaronsburg.	From Baltimore, MD Take I-83 North to Harrisburg Take Camp Hill exit to Route 11/15 North Take Route 11/15 North to Route 322 West Follow Route 322 West past Lewistown, and up over Seven Mountains. Bear Right onto Route 144 North and follow to Stoplight intersection of Route 45/Route 144 Turn right onto Route 45 West Schafer's Country Cottages are approximately 12.5 miles West on Route 45 on the left just as you enter Aaronsburg.
FROM THE SOUTH(Washington,DC) Take I-95 North to Washington, D.C. Take I-495 Beltway to I-270 North to Frederick, MD Take Route 15 North to Harrisburg, PA Take Route 11/15 North to Route 322 West Follow Route 322 West past Lewistown, and up over Seven Mountains. Bear Right onto Route 144 North and follow to Stoplight intersection of Route 45/Route 144 Turn right onto Route 45 East Schafer's Country Cottages are approximately 12.5 miles West on Route 45 on the left just as you enter Aaronsburg.	FROM THE SOUTHWEST(Columbus, OH) Take I-270 East to I-70 East Take I-70 East to Greensburg, PA Take PA Route 119 North to Route 22 Take Route 22 East to I-99 Take I-99 North to Route 220 Take Route 220 North to Route 322 Take 322 East to Old Fort/Route 45 exit Turn left onto Route 45 East Schafer's Country Cottages are 18.5 miles East on Route 45, on the left just as you enter Aaronsburg.
	FROM THE EAST(New York City) Follow I-80, (George Washington Bridge) West to exit 224 (Danville) Take right off exit ramp and travel approx 1 mile Take right onto RT 642 west and travel 4.5 miles Take Rt 45 West and travel approx 40 miles to Schafer's Country Cottages on right side of road.
